THE SPORTIVE KINROSS ROUTES

URGENT NOTICE! THE RED AND BLACK ROUTES HAVE UNDERGONE A LAST MINUTE CHANGE

After the latest Risk Assessment (10/04/2024) it's clear to our Safety Team Falkland Hill will not be safe to ride. Especially so when descending due to ongoing road works which have created highly variable and potentially dangerous road surfaces. So have we altered both the red and black routes taking riders along the Ochil Hills with some spectacular scenery to enjoy. Riders will rejoin the route previously used, at Falkland where it will remain unchanged for the remainder of the ride. Distance is approximately the same.

The Blue route remains unchanged.

Sportive Kinross provides 3 routes to suit all types of riders and all levels of fitness.

The short 46 mile Blue route is a good introduction to Sportives with a significant hill to climb. This being the Dunning Common climb.
The classic 71 mile Red route is challenging but very achievable while our 92 mile Black route with over 5700 ft of climbing is a challenge for any rider, especially so early in the year.

With all 3 routes starting and finishing at the Loch Leven Community Campus in Kinross they all meet up in Dunning where they share the ascent of the Dunning Common.
